  • BENEFITS PARADE!
The walks I started taking at noon as a substitute for smoking are no longer a discussion with myself about quitting smoking. Now I can enjoy the fall colors and fresh air. • A message to our "Lurkers."
I was a bit offended when I first encountered the term "Lurker". It did conjure up the more negative aspects. I would like to propose the term "silent reader". This could apply to both members and non members. I don't feel it has any negative implications. Just a thought Dwayne

  • Surely I'm not that unique
Hello Susilu. Congratulations on your Quit. Personally I don't worry about why I smoked, I only work on keeping my quit. I do not believe it really makes a difference. After all I have read here I can see myself in many of the articles and posts. Dwayne - into day 56

I made a sign that says 1 Puff = 9,125 cigs/yr and posted it at eye level in my office. Every time I start to get that Just One thinking I keep reminding m...

  • Quick question
This reminded me of when I was a student. Not only did I smoke other peoples butts, I would collect them, take out the tobacco and roll it to make enough smokes until I could afford to buy some. I even used this example in a debate to point out how smoking changed your personality. It only took anot...
