New Perspectives at 6 months

<t>It has been awhile since I've been around. Hit the 6 mo mark w/o much fanfare. Then I read this. OBob, this has helped me more than you'll ever know. Isn't it funny how those triggers seem to appear out of nowhere? They're not unmanageable but there they are just the same. I must confess that my ...

Stats Parade and..... Where Is John/?

OK, John, I won't send any congrats but what I will do is start my cookie jar with my smoke savings so I can have lots of "jingle" when my 4 yr anniversary comes. Maybe that way I CAN find it when the time comes and have a real humdinger of a celebration (even if the ACC is getting diluted).

I made it all the way to GOLD , WOOHOOOOOOOO

What a fabulous milestone! And whether you choose to "celebrate" or "celibate", I'm glad you're here to do it, AND to rag on Richard for remembering things he shouldn't!!! Great going, you're an inspiration to the rest of us.

Post Operative Complications

<t>Hey Joel, the health effects go way past post surgery complications. I recently had to go on a course of estrogen for some "female problems". The Doc told me if I was still smoking there would be no way any health pro would let me take it--fear of blood clots, etc. I have to tell you, it's the fi...

Buddy Systems

Thank you, Joel. I don't need a "buddy", I need a mentor. Someone older and wiser into their non smoking life than I am. Someone with experience and the abiltiy to guide me. Thank you for being such a great mentor to all of us.

Just Imagine ...

<t>John, <br/> <br/> What a great story! Horse poo! Since I have a few of the poo producers myself, I won't talk badly about them. Actually, I think smoking tobacco might be worse than smoking horse manure (at least my horse's manure!) <br/> <br/> And for Zep, yes, not only can I imagine my life wit...

TOP 10 WAYS TO KNOW IT’S TIME

<t>Glad to see Joel has a sense of humor! I knew it had to be in there somewhere. <br/> I'm not allowed to play with matches anymore, so I know I won't be lighting my pen. However, I hope I never run out of chocolate, that would cause a state of dire panic!! <br/> <br/> Speaking of chocolate, I thin...

Some new findings on Nicotine Addiction

<t>Wow, Joel, I knew I was addicted, but never realized how powerful a drug nicotine is. Thanks for sharing this article. It just reinforces why I never want to take another puff, who wants to go through the pain of withdrawal ever again! <br/> <br/> I also think this article points out some other t...

A silly question about how to count ...

<t>Bless you all!! Isn't it great that this is the most important problem we have to tackle at this moment???? I'm so amused, I don't hardly know what to say except that every smoke free day is a day worth celebrating!!! And it goes to show that it doesn't have to be a "milestone" day to quit. Anyda...

You'll probably never know about all the lives you've saved. BLESS YOU and THANK YOU. There are not enough words to express the gratitude we all feel for what you have done for us.

For me, the challenge of eating well has kept my mind off smoking, plus, I've finally quit putting that nasty nicotine and other substances in...
