MSN Groups Closing

I've noticed where a lot of groups are moving to Yuku, they say it's easy to relocate there and you can take everything with you. As for me, still just taking it one day at a time, just like I have been for the past 8+ eight years.

Days I just wanted to Die

<t>Melissa you'll never know how many times I've read your post and thought to myself that it could have been written by me and so many others. Sometimes it's hard to put into words the exact feelings of being miserable. That is the exact reason being a member of this group saved me time and time ag...

Lookin Good, Smellin' Good, Feelin' Good for 8 years!

<t>I know the feelings Geo. Time has really flown by. I very well remember when I first became a member, I would look at some of the posts from people who were well into their quit and I kept thinking to myself that if I could just make it another day I'd be lucky. Even one year seemed like an etern...

AGE and Stats Parade?

<r>Let me see, ummmmm. I lost my quit meter a long time ago but I'll try to remember. I smoked for 40+ years, sometimes off and on but more on than off. I quit eight years ago last January so heading toward nine years of absolute wonderful 'Freedom'. I'm a frisky 66 and getting friskier<IMG height="...

Thoughts on a 5+ year quit

<t>I personally don't feel it's realistic to expect not to ever have a 'thought'. For a lot of us using nicotine for many years was a significant part of our life. It's what we do with those 'thoughts'. What we do is put them in perspective. One quick way to do that is look back to where we were and...

Star B's first post and diary

<t>Hi Star B. Yeah, I too quit cold turkey. I learned real quick that 'difficult isn't impossible, difficult is just difficult'. I found Freedom shortly after I quit, I think about a week or two later. If I hadn't found this site I feel I would never have made it successfully. Like you I learned abo...

Be Prepared - Alcohol and Your Quit

<r><I><s>[i]</s>I've never been a heavy drinker, just an occasional glass of wine or a beer now and then. Shortly after I quit and shortly after becoming a member of Freedom I went to a birthday party at a club. I became snockered but by gosh I didn't smoke. There were people all around me puffing a...
