Here is how I interpreted your post: If I mis-read you, I apologize, but I am doing what someone here did for me once. If I hit the mark and help you, It was worth the risk (Implied Rule) If I am not responsible for my behavior during a crave, then becoming a smoker again would make me a more loving...

I suppose it is now gold n' green! Thanks again to all for the support and I'm glad that some of you enjoyed the compass analogy. (I had a feeling that it would fish out at least one fellow pilot!) I think it has served me well and I am glad that it has resonated with a few newbies and non-newbies a...

I'm so thankful for the Freedom Boards and all those who inhabit them. My quit date felt like the Boston Tea Party, the banning of a book, or any other metaphor that includes abrupt cessation. The first year of life as a "no-nic" has been an evolution. While the primary challenge to not smoke is com...

  • Am I being too sensitive?
Very well said. I remember a past failed attempt in which a person that knew I quit noticed I was smoking and had such a bellowing satisfied laugh in seeing my failure/staying on the team. I find it a little socially akward. I believe that humor would serve as a great defense. Any ideas for a comeba...
