Image I just found this (and found it englightening) and thought it might help some folks who shall remain nameless.

Cheryl - Free and Healing for One Month, Sixteen Days, 4 Hours and 6 Minutes, while extending my life expectancy 3 Days and 4 Hours, by avoiding the use of 923 nicotine delivery devices that would have cost me $208.17.

I remember an anti-drug commercial from the early eighties that had the tagline: "nobody ever says "when I grow up, I wanna ba junkie!""

Just to be a contrarian, I used to say that. Guess what? It came true. I am a full fledged nicotine junkie. Fortunately, I am not an active junkie, have not been for four months, and never will be again.

"When it comes to addictive behavior and thought processes, the smoker is right up there with the cocaine or heroine addict. Especially in the early stages of quitting smoking do we tend to crave "Just One". Unfortunately, that is nothing but the mind of the addict rationalizing the next of many fixes."

What the heck is a "social smoker??????!!!!!" If I smoke one, I'm done for Image. May as well schedule lung removal, radiation & chemotherapy; buy a funeral plot.

I can't conceive of nicotine addiction being ANYTHING like being a social drinker. Only a few, small percent of people who enjoy social cocktails become hopelessly addicted alchoholics.

Seems to me that EVERYONE who smokes or chews becomes a nicotine addict very quickly! (I don't know the numbers. . . .)

Who knows about this????
