I'm a believer

I must never take another puff. I've quit a few times over the years. The longest was 6 years. Each time I quit, I told myself that eventually it would be OK for me to smoke on "special occasions" - if you used to smoke, you know what I mean. I always proved myself wrong. I finally know it's true. I must never take another puff. That was too scarey to think about earlier in my quit. But now, I accept it, and I'm SO happy that I don't smoke.

I do wonder about being in a smoke filled room. Would it be possible to ingest enough second-hand smoke to wake the sleeping dragon?

Yes, Rosie, we all know about smoking only on "special occasions." We all know about only smoking when we go out with friends or only once a month/week/day. We all know how many times we failed.

Now that we are educated, we all know that there is no such thing as ONE.

Keep reading and taking it one day at a time. Your days are really starting to add up!

Hi Rosie,

Yes, that is all it takes, one puff, no matter how big or small the puff, just one. You know what is so great about that smoke filled room? You can now leave that smoke filled room and not have to go back into it if you don't want to. I think my lungs are thanking me every day for not putting that nicotine poison into them. I only just quit 11 days ago but I can sure tell the difference in this short amount of time.

Hang in there and take it day by day, we are here for you.
