| I too have struggled with the weight gain since giving up the cancer sticks 9 weeks ago. In the first 2 weeks, I picked up 10 pounds. It seemed I couldn't pass up any food without stopping for a taste. After those 10 pounds packed on, I decided something needed to end this chaos! |
I'm not really a gym type of person and I've never been overly active, so I really needed to find something new. I decided to buy a game. It has a workout mode so I can program the number of calories I want to burn, then it tracks it for me until they're gone. I've started a workout routine that I do about 4-5 days per week for 45-60 minutes each day. I'm having a lot of fun, I'm getting my butt off the couch, and I have stopped the weight gain! OK, I haven't really lost anything yet, but I'm thinking of all of extra weight I avoided by doing this.
And most of all, I'm just happy to be 9 weeks and 3 days into my quit!
