Our Courtesies & Rules
Members are limited to one Freedom membership per lifetime.
Continuing membership is conditioned upon compliance with
the below forum Rules and Freedom's Relapse Policy.

GENERAL SOCIALIZATION - Freedom's message boards are reserved for giving and receiving nicotine cessation support and not for general socialization. There are thousands of fun MSN and AOL sites and each has a link that allows you to send invitations to your friends, requesting that they join you. Freedom is not a place to celebrate the birthdays of our thousands of members or to celebrate hundreds of national or religious holidays. Please help us keep Freedom a serious and supportive classroom that helps save and extend human lives.

Freedom is not a blog, not a chat room, not a place where people come to meet colorful characters, and not a standard support group where anything goes. Freedom is an educational forum first and foremost, one that offers some support and affords some camaraderie, but those two facets are secondary in importance to our mission. Our primary mission is helping people understand what they need to do to quit smoking and to stay off smoking. There are plenty of sites that people can go to and find the kind of support that a chat site gives or blogs that shows off creative writing skills of new quitters. Our site is nowhere as good as a lot of other sites at filling these functions. We do however believe that our site is second to none at providing serious and focused education and support.
