I have some Red Zinger sweetened iced tea I got at a restaurant; is it safe to use in a feeder?

behave? this group? you'd better write some more cool limericks.

seriously, I bought some red nectar mix and I want to duplicate the color of the hyacinth bean flowers the hummers like so much, so I added blue food coloring to it to make purple nectar. try it! if you don't want to buy the pre-mix, you can use blue and red food coloring at home in your sugar water.

Purple syrup? How mundane. I want to make some, like, far out PAISLEY syrup, man. I'm having trouble keeping the colors from mixing, though. Help me out here, people.

Would you settle for layered colors, like a Tequila Sunrise?

how about a feeder with as many compartments for nectar as ports? you could run 4 different colors at once.

Of course it's safe to use in a feeder. As long as the feeder is clean you shouldn't get sick drinking your tea from it.

I like to put in a jigger or three of Johnny Walker Red. It makes those territorial chases funny as hell!
