Anna's and Rufous hummingbirds still continue to hang on in the yards of their Wisconsin hosts despite bitter cold temperatures in the low 20's, snow, and wind. Here is a link to a report about the Anna's currently being seen in the Milwaukee area:

The Rufous is in Madison, Wisconsin, just a short distance from our home. If you wish to see photos and are on Facebook, you can visit the Wisconsin Hummingbirds Facebook page.
These birds are definitely tougher than they appear.
Our hats are off to the dedicated hosts of these birds who provide fresh and unfrozen nectar each day.
