Bit of a tangent, but am I the only one who thought Bold was a bit of an overrated character?

I mean, yeah his death was sad but it was all caused by his own whiny, stupid decisions. I'm surprised everyone else seems to like him, I just found him irritating.

^ You're not alone there - I'm not a big fan of Bold, either.

Also, welcome to the forum, TopPleb! :)

An awful lot of character traits between him and Friendly were swapped between the books and the TV series, if I recall correctly.

I like Bold, but I disagree that he's an over-rated character. Then again, I also don't see why so many people despise Whisper and think her a leach. But hey, differences in opinion make the world go round. :)

Oh, honey, you should have seen me in 2008. I despised Bold, and thought he was very highly overrated...well, the foxes in general were overrated. Still kind of think so now.

Ok, today I am going to an animation meet with racism as the theme. Which season 2 episode would work best (blue foxes vs red foxes).

I'd say The fued begins. There are probaly a few other options but that's the only ep I can remember it focusing on the whole way through.

I'd go with Shadows. Some of the things Fox says seem very racist :o

I don't hate him but I do think he's a bit overrated. I guess people like his character arc.

*Digs up old thread*

I've been re-watching Series 1 lately, and just watched the episode where they all cross the motorway and the hedgehogs die.  Much as I get the sense the Hedgehogs wouldn't have been prominent characters later on; why did they have to die?  Couldn't Fox and Vixen between them have carried them both across the motorway (one each)?  Or Badger take both maybe (along with mole)?

I haven't read any of the books in forever, so apologies if it's done differently in them.

I'm going to confess, I never did read any of the books. Maybe one, but purely found the show back in the days of VHS when my little brother had a video tape of many different cartoons from CBBC.
I think the shows aged enough now to point out the plot holes ;p
