It is time for my annual update for Digital Diamond Baseball.  I hope you find these updates useful rather than an intrusion on the Diamond Mind Baseball forum.  I actually own Diamond Mind and still play it often.

Digital Diamond Baseball is a baseball simulation game that makes it easy for users to create season libraries and share them with the user community.  As a result, there is a growing collection of free season libraries available for the game.  These libraries are full-featured and contain as-played lineups, opening day rosters, real-life transactions, ballpark factors, L/R splits, extended player ratings, and ballpark images.  The end result is an accurate and fun simulation game that is affordable and does not require a major investment.

There are a number of exciting additions that have been added to version 5 including L/R platoon splits.  Other new features include:
  • Playoff/tournament creation tool
  • New base running rating
  • New reporting engine
  • Zoomable ballpark images -- one size fits all!
  • Additional support for playing with real dice
  • Major improvements to the user interface
  • The ability to access a player's Baseball Reference and Retrosheet webpage from within the game
All of our season libraries are completely free.  In addition, the user community has built a nice collection of interesting free libraries including the following:
  • 1946 Mexican League
  • 1945 & 1946 All American Girls Professional Baseball League
  • 1924 Negro Major Leagues
  • 1976 Japanese Central League
  • 2014 Nippon Professional Baseball League
  • 1925 Pacific Coast League
  • 1957 Pacific Coast League
  • Pacific Coast League Encyclopedia with over 13,000 players from 1903-1957
  • All Time Great College Team Library
The game runs on Windows, Mac, and Linux and a free trial is available for download.

If you have any questions about the game feel free to email support@digitaldiamondbaseball.com or visit the website
