The thread title pretty much says it. Share some of your favorite web sites. If ya feel like it give us a little blurb on why you like it.

I'll start (obviously, since nobody else has seen this yet.)

Noise Trade Free music. Totally free and totally legal. Thousands of independent artists posting their music for anybody to hear. You can "leave a tip" if you want but there's no obligation.

Woot.com Gotta thank Kimberly for this one. Get great deals on all kinds of stuff. They have one product (and only one product) a day for knockout prices that's on sale until they're sold out or the day ends. I just bought a TENS unit for $19.95 plus $5 shipping. The cheapest one I've seen before this one was closer to $40 plus shipping.

Thought of a couple more:

The Spice House Low cost, high quality herbs, spices, and blends. Visiting their store in either Milwaukee or Chicago is on my bucket list.

My Spice Sage Another place for spices and herbs. Larger variety but I find the quality isn't as high as The Spice House.

Great idea, Bill!

One of my favorites: http://www.oldtimeradiofans.com/ Totally free (you can donate through pay pal) and a huge variety of old programs and commercials.

My other favorite sites have to do with chickens, farming, or knitting, and I'm not sure how wide an appeal those will have :)

Post 'em anyway! Ya never know who's lurking, plus it might just spark some interest. I have an add-on for Firefox called Stumbleupon that takes me to random web sites and I've found some really fascinating stuff that I never would have looked for.

Oh! Speaking of old-time radio! Years ago I stumbled onto Live365.com, which is an amazing place for any type of streaming, old-time is just one. There are literally thousands of stations. You can download a player so that you don't have to run it from your browser, and if you become a VIP member (otherwise it's free) there are even more stations available to you and you aren't bothered by commercials or bumped by other members or anything. It's really awesome! There are even Christmas only stations!

Live365 is my favorite online radio place. I switch between jazz, showtunes and 80's music :)

Nerd Quirks The collective list of all Nerd Quirks is my favorite.

Here's a great one provided by Shell (iamnotforgotten) in the Giving thread: Charity Navigator. (Just in case you're wondering what to do with all that extra money, doncha know.)

I Am Maru--A cat's blog

Half in approximate English and half in Japanese equals 100% cat goodness.

Note: On the right hand side of the page, below the advertising, in blue print are the archives. Maru's videos are a regular feature on Youtube, and why 82% of the interweb is comprised of cat videos.

Avery's Bucket List

Very sad and funny at the same time - it's a blog written from the POV of a 5 month old who is not expected to live past 18 months. Read with tissue!

I always knew it would happen. Seriously! And now here it is! ClearPlay! A DVD-filtering service that makes it safe to watch movies together as a family -- imagine that!

Check out the videos on the about us tab. This is really an awesome service.
