Joe Jackson represented the times when black people had strong families. He represents the time when there were two parents in the home in the black community, and the father went out and worked hard to take care and provide for his family even if he had to work two or three jobs. Joe worked two jobs to take care of his family

Without Joe Jackson there would not be a Michael Jackson and the Jackson 5, and there would not be a Janet Jackson, and the world would have missed out on a lot of great music.

Joe Jackson saw potential in his children, and he supported them 100% in order to help them achieve their musical dreams.

Joe knew that in order for his children to have a chance of making it in the music industry, they had to be the best at what they did, and they had to be polished.

In order to achieve this, Joe Jackson had them practice everyday when they got home from school, and on weekends he put them in vans and drove them all over the country doing shows in little hole in the wall places, sometimes not making any money, or making just enough money for gas fair.

Joe Jackson did this to instill a serious work ethic in his children, and he knew that they had to pay this kind of dues in order to become great.

All of Joe Jackson hard work and sacrifice that he put into his children paid off . They went on to become the most successful family ever in the music industry.

His son Michael Jackson went on to become the greatest music artist and the greatest entertainer of all times.

His sons the Jackson 5 had a string of number 1 hit songs.

His daughter Janet Jackson, became one of the most successful female artist in the music industry, with a long string of hit songs.

To this very day no other musical family has even come close to achieving what they achieved.

Michael Jackson alone has sold over a billion records, and he has won every award in the music industry, including holding many Guinness World Book of Records.

All this is possible because of Joe Jackson.

Michael said that he got his hard work ethic from his father, and he said that his father was a management genius.

Thank you Joe Jackson for the gifts that you have given the world.

In 2002 The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame named Joe Jackson the Best Entertainment Manager of All Time.
