That's the thing about SaaS, you don't know how many CPUs or memory there is, It is up to Oracle to insure there is enough for your application. For Disk, I think they tell you 50 gig per instance, but that too is variable.

I had asked same questions to Oracle (sales team) and they said application layer is shared and Essbase cubes has their own space, memory, cpu but they never said any number.
They said it will latest Exalytics h/w.

On PBCS past presentations by Oracle's tech team illustrated 8 cores and 32 GB of ram and it's not on Exalytics hardware.

Disk space is 100 GB usable roughly althoug I'd count on it being smaller.

So with this in mind -- treat the server as the Essbase server you used to use 3 years ago and you'll probably be just fine.

Kind Regards,

I've seen the same stats as John, hardware was Exalogic. They did say that they increased resources as and when needed but I don't know how sophisticated this is (auto-adjust/resources multiplied based on # of users/manual adjustment when they get alerted).

Cheers,
Guillaume
