Hello,

I'm trying to load our ASO cube from SQL server using "SQL data source option".

When I include the import database statement to Maxl, it's giving me an error.

essmsh error: Parse error near password10

import database FinFact.FinFact data
connect as userid password10
using server rules_file "LoadIS.rul"
to load_buffer with buffer_id 1
on error write to "D:\Shares\Scripts\Logs\FinFact\LoadIS.err";

Please help.

Thanks in advance!

Might be having some issues with special chars in your password?

If you can maybe change it to something simple and retest?

You need the "identified by" syntax

Did not work either, please see below...

ERROR - 1242021 - (8) Syntax error near ['" identified by identified by 'xxxxxx'

using multiple rules_file 'LoadIS', 'LoadBS'

to load_buffer_block starting with buffer_id 100

on error write to "'].

import database $1.$2 data
connect as admin identified by 'xxxxxx'

using multiple rules_file 'LoadIS', 'LoadBS'

to load_buffer_block starting with buffer_id 100

on error write to "$(LogDir)LoadIS.err";

Are you trying to run an encrypted MaxL script? If so I think you have to run the encrypted version of that import statement

Thank you Daniel for your respond!

Yes, I guess it's an encrypted MaxL script based on login statement below. I'm just modifying the existing script.

What is the encrypted version of the import statement?

/* Login to Essbase Server */

login $key 1160462510657945662010809949109552293880 $key 271539784198729812900316061051218928490149100047319332086740 on "D00WAPPD0002";
iferror 'Error-BadLogin';

I figured it out, I used those encrypted keys for the import statement. It worked.

Thank you!!
