I like Greek music very much and listen to it a lot.
Especially I like GReek female voices. THey have a typical kind of sound, which is very beautiful like that of ALexiou or Galani.
and even the more commercial ones like Kati Garbi or Peggy zina.
I was wondering if that way of singing has a kind of name??? or is it just typical for GReek music?

We call it "bouzoukia" or ... using slang... "skyladika". (for Peggy Zina and Garbi).
Also we call Galani and Alexiou as "entehni Greek music"

yes I know about that, but female singers have a kind of...how can I explain...deep voices, maybe because they smoke to much cigarettes, like we do in Serbia also...but it sounds very authentical, thats with all kind of greek music

yeah greek music is very typical and I think I know what you mean..
For example when you have Turkish or Arab female singers their kind of singing is like a screaming cat.
but our voices are more sophisticated I think but the reason for that is that Greece has very long history and you can hear that in the music too.

Althoug gossips is a very important factor in the Greek nightlife..... Edgar Huver (FBI) said once : "Dont tell me if something is for sale or not; Just tell me the price" What can I tell... Its a cruel capitalist world lol lol
