Re: Alcohol?

Cider was very popular with a quick search showing hard cider production in N.E. by the 1620's at least.

And you have to imagine that setting up a brewery was the first thing on any German immigrants thoughts upon arrival in the new world, God bless them.

Re: Thoughts on this folding knife?

My thoughts are that it does not represent a knife of the 18th century. I also feel that it is outrageously expensive. Opinel knives are simular and a third of the price and darned good knives.

I just saw this and yes more common out West but I wish to ask how did it work?

Re: Failures in Cooking

Okay last weekend at Fort De Chartres I had 2 spectacular failures. My camp cooking is usually pretty popular, especially my coffee, but due to lack of recent practice and having a head full of lightning, I burned a simple batch of cornbread, and then got up the next morning and burned the biscuits....

Looking at TRS they have a Tulle complete and correct for 995. That's not bad for a very correct kit.

Re: track of the wolf kit

The Devil is in the details Boys. Research first for what was common in your chosen time place and persona. Then try to find the builder or supplier that will most closely match. Remember a Native group aligned with the British trade network would most likely not have a French gun and visa versa. Th...
