Done this once, but perhaps my IP connection was too slow; it seemed to crash. Anyway, name is blindhog, Bruce Shulter, from Texas, USA. I've been buckskinning for 39 years, rendezvousing and shooting. Have a flintlock I built, use either a wedge tent ("A" style) or a diamond fly or plowpoint if I'm feeling good enough for a pack-in. I'm age 74 hoping to make one more soon. Look forward to meeting and interacting with y'all.

I'm in San Antonio. What's the name of your group? I've been doing things solo for quite a spell now, so finding people in the area is a breathe of fresh air.

We're the Whitesmoke Brigade of Buckskinners, consisting of two distinct groups, the Texas Freetrappers and the Fritztown Free Trappers, but we're like most skinners, old and not seeming to attract youngsters. Rendezvous (pre-1840 fur trade) recreations have been in October, November, January and February; however, that is "up in the air" right now as finding booshways has been difficult. Many of our members are in San Antonio (my birth city). Send me via e-mail bruce@saber4.com your name and e-mail and I'll pass it on to the folks who handle notifications so you may be included.
