I have just read about confirming house in The Penguin Dictionary of Economics.

Did you know? In the UK a confirming house acts on behalf of overseas buyers of domestic goods, arranging for them the purchase and export of such goods.

Did you know? In international trade, a commercial or merchant bank can extend to an overseas buyer credit against which a bill of exchange can be drawn.

I have just about acceptance credit in the Oxford Dictionary of Accounting. B)

On my way to work last Thursday, I read about credit in the Collins Gem Business Studies Basic Facts.

Did you know? Loans and overdrafts are forms of credit provided by banks for customers, the cost thereof being the interest that must be paid along with the debt.

Did you know? The Consumer Credit Act (1974) stipulates that if people sign a credit agreement at home, they have up to twelve days to change their mind before it applies to them.
