This is pretty much the only thing I've found (other than this forum, of course) which has anything about symmetric senary.

This is neat. The big benefit of course is simplicity. The drawback is that overmuch simplicity causes confusion and reduces flexibility in another way (the range of numerals is reduced). Plus we have nega-digits and we know, flipping signs is often a cause for error. "Symmetric" dozenal ("balanced" dozenal) suffers the same issue; "novel" or unusual notation. These are my cursory views, others will have things to say as well.

Still, better to have nega-digits with the line over the number, not under (and no color). I've been wrestling with symmetric (balanced) dozenal for a while, but not using new digits, just the usual dozenals. No conclusions yet…
