Ugh! I am attempting to repair a post of mine in the Systematic Dozenal Nomenclature thread that was completely trashed by the tapatalk conversion, only to discover that there is a 6000d character limit on posts.  The post in question is 8694d characters!  So what am I supposed to do? Split into two? It was from more than 6 years ago!  Am I supposed to put half of it into a new post dated 6 years after the fact?

Utterly appalling.
As of 1202/03/01[z]=2018/03/01[d] I use:
ten, eleven = ↊↋, ᘔƐ, ӾƐ, XE or AB.
Base-neutral base annotations
Systematic Dozenal Nomenclature
Primel Metrology
Western encoding (not by choice)
Greasemonkey + Mathjax + PrimelDozenator

Ah, so our admins can control that. Thanks, that's helpful. However, can I ask you to raise that to, say, 50000d=25E28z? Or perhaps, just to be dozenal about it, 30000z=62208d? 😊The OP of the SDN thread turns out to be over a gross squared characters. (All the markup for tables, bullet lists, color and style, url links and whatnot really add up.) Actually, if you have a way to get stats on what the current longest post on the board is, and add a bit on that, that may be a less haphazard way to decide on a limit. Thanks.

FYI: I have been slowly going through all the posts in the Primel Metrology and Systematic Dozenal Nomenclature subforums, which I moderate, and repairing them. The main things I'm doing are:
  • Eliminate dohtml tags and replace them with straight tapatalk bbcode. There are just too many conflicts between html and bbcode under tapatalk, so their presence tends to trash a post.
  • In particular, use tapatalk tables instead of dohtml tables. The problem with dohtml tables is that they are nearly unreadable on a mobile device.  No ability to scroll to the right if the table is wide, whereas you can do that with tapatalk tables.  The downside is that I haven't found a way to get tapatalk table cells to span multiple columns or rows, which is something I took advantage of in many of my dohtml tables. So I've had to get creative about how to restructure some tables to retain the previous content.
  • Replace &#nnn; character entity codes with the original Unicode characters that were there. Not sure why the tapatalk migration converted non-ASCII characters into their codes in the first place.
  • Replace emoticons like :) and :-) with their equivalent emojis like 🙂.
  • (I'll add more notes here as I find more things to fix.)
