I've been waiting for the 1966 season to go Deluxe.  Any idea when that will take place?
Thanks,
Brad.

Jim Wheeler is working hard to upgrade the remaining "Classic" (CPS) databases to "Deluxe" (DPS) databases for all the years that retrosheet.org has complete splits data. At last check, that data includes seasons as far back as 1941. This undertaking is proceeding at a pace of about 3 or 4 upgraded seasons per year.

Newly upgraded editions of the 1967, 1970 and 1944 seasons have been released this year along with brand new 1923 and 1924 seasons. Other seasons to fill in the gaps between the years 1941 and 1967 will become available in time along with brand new seasons for the years 1920-1922.

With each brand new or updated database requiring a number of months of painstaking research, data entry and testing, it will be a few years before all the upgraded seasons are completed. It's my understanding that an upgraded 1950 database is up next with an early Spring 2018 release target. I'm not able to provide a timeline for any other specific season at this point.

Thank you for that information.  Anything on the horizon for DMB like upgrades to the play-by-play?  Many people have said here on this forum that it's the best play-by-play of any computer baseball sim on the market.  Having tried all of them over the past 50+ years I would have to agree.
Brad.

When will the mid season upgrade be available for the 18 projection season? How many games is the update based on? 81? Finally, is the full season projection based strictly on their first half performance or a hybrid of that and the initial zips projection?

Diamond Mind does not produce projection data in-house and instead relies on a third-party supplier who provides the ZiPS projections to be wrangled into a DMB compatible database. The updated ZiPS projection data has not yet been received from the supplier, but last year it was received in late August. Hopefully, it will be earlier this year.

Until the updated projection data is received, it's not possible to give a specific release date, but it usually takes about 10 to 14 days to prepare the database for release once the new data is available.
