Hi Hertsblaster,

I have been following your posts on diyaudio since last 1 year, and today I came across your invisonfree.com.

I impressed with your projector builds and they are amazing. Excellent picture clarity. Great.

Basically, I want to build my LED light source projector using the parts you specified in your other post (copied below):

USING 7 INCH LCD

Option I

LCD 7 inch N070ICG-LD1 1280x800 - 5500pesos
Projection lens- Prime lens F-210 - 4000 pesos
Fresnel F 220/120 - 1000 pesos
Condenser lens F-40 600pesos
LED 128w 18000 lumens- 4000
Heatsink - 2000 pesos
Heatsink fan ( used 2 pcs) - 300 pesos
Led driver- 2000 pesos
thermometer- 350 pesos
led protector- 150
==================

I have few doubts Hertz,

1) Does the above configuration require any water cooling system ?
2) Does it support horizontal/vertical key stone correction ?
3) If I am not wrong, you already built this projector with above configuration. Can I run this projector continuously for 8 hours ?
4) Noise level of this projector when it is on ?
5) What is the horizontal/vertical scan rate of N070ICG-LD1 LCD ?
6) Can this play 3D content ?
7) Can you give some guidelines on how to build a) Wi-Fi and B) 3D with active shutter enabled LED projector ?

I would like to have your personal email, can you pls share if you are okay. Here is my id : amadhu_b@yahoo.com

Thanks
Madhu

1) Does the above configuration require any water cooling system ?

You have selected Heatsink with FAN so no water cooling required

2) Does it support horizontal/vertical key stone correction ?

This your making alignment on FRONT fresnel , It is purely by your setup , Satish have a metal frame assembly there you can lift , tilt front fresnel

3) If I am not wrong, you already built this projector with above configuration. Can I run this projector continuously for 8 hours ?

Sure LED have good life , but continuously on dark room for 8 hours !!!!

4) Noise level of this projector when it is on ?

Audible noise of FANS can hear like 2 FAN of PC cooling fan sound

5) What is the horizontal/vertical scan rate of N070ICG-LD1 LCD ?

resolution already shared in blog scan rate depend on Controller

6) Can this play 3D content ?

NO , need 2 projector

7) Can you give some guidelines on how to build a) Wi-Fi and cool.gif 3D with active shutter enabled LED projector ?

Go through blog detailed explanation available

Hi Murali,

Thanks for your clarifications. Cleared most of my doubts, except about 3d. I will go through blog.

I have 2 more doubts Murali.

1) does N070ICG-LD1 LCD with 6 and 8 bit dithering produce same image?
If there is any difference, is it visible to naked eye ?

2) if I use,
a) 7 inch LCD 1280*800, 128w led 19000 lumen
B) 5.6 inch LCD 1280*800, 128w led 19000 lumen

Will they produce same image ? Assume both have best lens used.

Thank you
Madhu

Hi Madhu,

Welcome to the Forum...!

Well, sorry, i was bit busy and i couldn't open this Forum couple of days..

a 8bit dithering will definitely produce a clear image than 6bit. There will be difference but never experienced this. i tried with 8 bit LVDS cable but LCD was 6 bit dithering.. and so couldn't judge between them.. i believe difference can be spotted.

5.6 setup will produce brighter and smaller results than 7" when you use same optics. both will produce similar clarity pictures as per its properties.

as you are from Hyderabad. you can meet Kamal at Cherlapally or me at Minikonda.

if you want to clarify further doubts., start your own thread and discuss even thing there.. you already hijacked other thread.
