Rainbow Falls is a beautfiul surge of water profjecting out of a rock wall. The falls are located at the northwest edge of Manitou Springs on Ute Pass. In the late 1800s, Rainbow Falls and Manitou Springs popularity as vacation sites was due, in part, to the allure of the naturally carbonated springs foudn at the base of Ute Pass. Since then, U.S. Highway 24 was erected adjacent to the falls, concealing, but not destroying, the magnificent display of nature.
