We were thinking of driving from Aspen to the Pass in one day instead of turning around and going back to 70 to get back to Boulder. Two questions - (1) what is the quickest route (since we are doing in a day, not looking for the most scenic) to get back to Boulder (actually live in Louisville) from Aspen through the Pass and (2) how long will it take.
Trip is scheduled for this weekend, so I need some advice soon.
you are asking how to get from the pass to Boulder quickly. After you get over the pass and back to Hwy 24, head to Leadville, then follow the signs to Climax and Copper Mountain. You will join up with I-70 at Copper Mountain. You'll take I-70 almost to Denver then follow the signs to catch HWY 93 to Boulder.
I apologize if I have misunderstood your question.
