Grey's initial reaction to this was a little humorous. Tala couldn't help but try to suppress a giggle or two of her part. Still, his reaction was warranted. Neither one of them have ever seen a talking beetle before, let alone one the size of a small dog.

But unlike her male companion, the girl had her own reaction to the matter. Her people always believed every creature, human or animal, were all born of Mother Earth. They roamed her grounds, breathe the air she offered them, and took the food of which she had.

This big beetle was a creature of Mother Earth, just the same as she. "Umm...who are you?" she asked, kneeling down to the Tentomon and gently poking it's hard outer shell.

The creature looked upset when Grey yelled at it. It withdrew into itself, and it's antenna began to droop. It dawned on the creature that these must have been the illusive humans he heard about in bedtime stories. humans were supposed to grant great power to digimon, to heal their wounds and help them evolve. Tentomon didn't know how, though. He was sure you didn't eat them - humans were said to fight alongside digimon. Tentomon guessed by the male uman's words (he though it was a male, at least, as it's voice was deep) that the humans were as puzzled by him as he was of them. Wait, that wasn't how the story was supposed to go!

Tentomon had bigger things to deal with then confused humans, namely, surviving. Those flymon had almost deleted him, and though he managed to escape, he didn't want to stick around when the came back. And he knew they would.

He was about to answer their questions when the female one (at least he presumed) began poking his shell. He whimpered and moved away, still in pain. He wasn't sure who to address -the yelling one or the poking one. He was scared of both of them.

"Uh... well, I'm a, Tentomon!" he paused. Maybe this wasn't enough information. "I'm a child digimon. I talk because... well, why shouldn't I be able to talk?" The digimon's robotic voice was marked with pain. He said each word slowly, as though it took a great deal of effort. "We're in the Forest. Just by the Grassy Plains." For everything Tentomon had realized in the last minute, he hadn't gotten it through his head that the human wasn't asking about the forest, but what world he was in - even if the human didn't know it. "Any more questions? I need to leave as soon as possible."

"Digimon wha-wait? Leave? Why do you need to leave? Should we leave too?"

Grey pushed himself to his feet, brushing off his behind. "What's going to happen to us if we don't?"he asked, green eyes wide. "And how do we get out of here?" He glanced around, nervous now. If the giant bug was worried about something, perhaps it was best if they worried about it too.

It made sense, Grey supposed, that these... Digimon things were dangerous. Some of them were quite large and something had to have hurt the lady bug. Something big and bad because the... tentomon? Yeah... its shell looked pretty tough.

"Which way do we go to get out of here?"he asked hurriedly.

For once, Tala couldn't bring herself to give out a witty quip or argument on her part. She could understand why Grey was in such a hurry to find a way out of here. But now, fidning a way back would seem impossible. Just looking at this giant, talking beetle was enough of an indication that the two of them were no longer on the planet. They had to be in some kind of different realm or something. But that didn't seem possible...could it?

"What are Digimon?" Tala blinked curiously as her fingertips gently grazed the outer shell of the Tentomon. "We're not on Earth anymore, are we? Where are we if that's the case?" There were so many unanswered questions they both had for their little insect guide. Hopefully he'd be able to answer them all before the level of danger around them grew higher.

Tentomon flinched again as the human female touched his shell. it didn't hurt but he wasn't expecting to be touched. He began limping towards the tress, considering ignoring the humans and all their questions. They sure were clueless, and if he spent too much time here, the flymon could come back. Or worse.

However, as tentomon could barely cover a meter a minute in this condition, the creature decided to answer a few more questions. Maybe his body would heal by that time. He turned to the humans and cleared his throat. "This place has been buzzing with aggressive bugs for the past few days. Some surge of data has everyone panicked. And a few digimon are taking advantage of that, and trying to collect any data they find."

Tentomon studied the humans for a few moments. "You two don't look like you're made of data, but they may find you tasty as well. The easiest way for you two to leave is to find a trailmon and ride it to the city. Me, I think I'm going to try to find a hive." Tentomon looked wistfully at the nearby trees. "Trouble is, I can't find it. I think the chemical signals were screwed up."

Tentomon coughed "Speaking of data, we're in the digital world. Digimon are digital monsters. I would tell you more, but I need to concentrate on getting home." With that, Tentomon got on his feet again, opened his shell, flapped his wings, and got into the air.

For a few seconds. He fell back to the ground, causing a cloud of dust to fly up. Well, that wouldn't work. The tentomon considered the situation again. "If you two help me, I can point you in the direction of the trailmon."

"If you two help me, I can point you in the direction of the trailmon."

Grey was instantly interested, particularly if it meant he and Pochahontas could get out of here. But there was a snag here. "How do we help you find a hive?"he asked. If the bug couldn't get a reading on his own chemical signals, how were mere humans supposed to? And really, what did a hive for a bug this big look like?

He turned his head and began searching the trees, looking for anything that looked vaguely beehive like. It brought back memories of the beehive that had settled itself in her families awning. It had taken forever to get all of the bees out and even longer to keep them away after that.

"And how will you get up to it if you can fly?"

"A Trailmon?"

This world was getting stranger and stranger by the moment. But it seemed Grey was all for helping the strange little insect. If that was the case, then she saw no harm in helping as well. Hey, at least they'll hopefully find some way out of this jungle and maybe some answers along the way.

She followed in stride alongside the jerk, noticing the way he tilted his head to and fro as he scanned the trees for the supposed 'hive' they were looking for. "Do you really think such a hive will be up there? There are underground hives you know..." Tala said, coming off with a bit of a tease as she smiled at him.

Tentomon stared at Grey.. at least, that was what it seemed. The bug's big green nondescript eyes made it hard to guess what he was looking at at anytime. "I suppose that would be a problem. Well, I guess I could stay in the digi-city. That might be safest."He then turned to Tala and seemed to twitch his antennae... affectionately, you could call it. "Smart you are. Unfortunately, the hive I was visiting, I mean, the hive I live at is not the. Though I wish it were, now."

"Anyway, um, trailmon.... you guys don't have those I guess. Well, they go on rails and transport you to and fro. And sometime they have interesting things to say."

Tentomon began to relax. Well, the humans wouldn't hurt him. A slightly darker thought came to him as well - if any digimon attacked, they would probably go after the humans first, letting him escape. But he didn't really want that to happen. He realized how strangely quiet the forest was around him. He hoped it was a good thing.

Rails...

"So they're like... trains...?"

... except trains didn't ever say anything but whoo whoo and chugga chugga...

Grey reached up and massaged at his face and nose. And yeah, he knew about underground hives.... it just seemed more likely for the hive to be in the trees...

... yeah. Eitherway, it was obvious that the Tentomon was going to accompany them back to Digital City. "Well... could you lead the way to these Trailmon?"he asked. "You are coming back to this... Digital City with us, right?"

He'd noticed how quiet the surrounding area had gotten and it did unnerve him. It unnerved him a lot. These Digimon were obviously quite powerful and able to pack one helluva punch in comparison to their real world versions. For example, lady bugs were annoying at worst and adorable at best... they never talked and they weren't usually fleeing from huge bees.

"That does sound...pretty interesting. To ride on a train that talks...."

Honestly, it sounded more like a child's fantasy coming to life than anything else. But Tala was willing to accept it. After all, they were now in a world where bug greatly dwarfed their counterparts and spoke perfect english. It seemed hardly anything was impossible in this new, exotic world.

But Grey still had a time adjusting to all this, seeing him that way made Tala chuckle. Was it wrong to say he looked cute when flustered? ...Nope.

The little insect guide was pretty cute himself, so much that often Tala would reach down and gently rub the insect's hard outer shell comfortingly. Poor little guy, he had to be feeling so lost without a way to return home and the threat of predators around.

But as she reached down to pet Tentomon, Tala's eyes lit up suddenly. There, on her wrist, she noticed something was strapped to her. It looked like a strange device. When she pulled her hand away, she swiveled her wrist about a few times and even tapped on it lightly. "Umm...what is this?" she finally asked.

Tentomon thought for a moment. The digital city, a place were digimon were supposed to be able to interact with other digimon and humans without fear of getting attacked (save for the occasional terrorist attack). At first, he only toyed with the idea, but now it seemed more then plausible. Alright, his mind was made up. He would go to the digital city with the two humans.

But what odd things they were.

"Trains?" Tentomon looked helplessly at Grey. The boy was talking nonsense again. "Never mind, yes, I will escort you... though you may in fact, be the ones escorting me," Tentomon said, twitching his tender wing. It still pained him. However, the female human's touch, though it frightened him earlier, actually felt good. Odd.

Tentomon took a look at the thing on the girl's wrist.

"Probably something that makes you a tamer," the creature said nonchalantly. He had heard of odd objects attaching themselves to humans. "Wait, does that mean... you're my tamer?" The Tentomon stared up at Tala, expectantly. Was it possible?

No, if it was, he would have felt something... different. He wasn't sure what it was, but the stories of tamed digimon always included a certain feeling. Maybe something needed to happen to activate the odd taming device. Well, that could wait until they reached the digital city.

"Tamer... what... Are humans supposed to be able to tame you Digimon?"

Grey seemed to be skeptical at best and instead glanced around the surrounding area again. "Can you explain it while we move, bug?"he asked. He turned and started to head into the direction that seemed most likely to have a train... and away from where those giant bees had been flying through.
