Evil...pure and total evil...this is its home. Separate from the main plain of the digital world, this monochromatic ocean realm is difficult to access. Visible from miles away stands the dark tower that is Insomnia's base, the Ebon Hold.

"Yes, a mission," Insomnia said. In addition to the simple modifications to the partner's combat abilities, she'd also made a certain addition to better keep an eye on her new servant. Certainly, she had tamers available that would be able to tail Chikai and pound him into a greasy spot on the floor at the first sign of trouble, but letting him know that wasn't the best test of his loyalty.
"Work on cultivating your and your partner's strength," said Insomnia. "You can do that at the city's training fields, or by engaging wild Digimon. As you do so, keep your eyes and ears open for talk of any organizations attempting to resist my takeover. I'm aware of the so-called light tamers serving those fools Kuzuhamon and Zeal, but I've heard whispers of other groups, such as the Iron Griffons." Ogre shifted at those words, remembering his encounter with the original organization in the jungle, but Insomnia continued. "Find what you can on any of them. You can report to me with your d-ban." She gestured idly to the device on the boy's wrist. "It's been given the contact information of a relay in the Digital World, that can forward any updates to me."
"Be diligent," growled Ogre, twisting one wrist slightly, and emphasizing the near-meter long, razor-sharp claws in subtle threat. "And be wary around any resisters. They would target you for your affiliation."

A mission it was. Working on cultivating his own and his partner's strength would make it easier to survive against light tamers. It sounded easy enough if he stuck to just the training fields and wild digimon. And then, Chikai had another task while doing so. Listen and watch for the opposition. He also had to be careful around any of these. They would prove hostile should the realize his allegiance. This, he memorized, as well as the subtle threat that he should not play around. "Got it. Am I dismissed, Empress-sama?" He asked, wondering what form of transport would take him from here to this 'city' and its surrounding regions. From what he had seen of the ocean, it was at least several kilometers away, far beyond the horizon.

"You are," Insomnia said simply. Her eyes glinted momentarily as an invisible power reached out. In this tower most of all, it was her realm, and little nudges of power here and there were child's play.
This particular nudge was an answer to Chikai's unspoken question, creating an inky pool at the boy's feet. Purples, blacks, and blues swirled like liquid in its surface, and it would slowly draw the tamer down into its cool embrace. The portal was a tunnel through the boundaries of space, leading him from the side dimension that was the dark ocean into the Digital World. The portal would draw Chiksai in until it had fully enveloped him, and then it would whisk him off to a point just outside Digital City.
Insomnia continued to regard him coolly, distantly curious whether the boy would prove any worth, or would simply end up on the list of those that needed to be snuffed out. She could always check on him later, as she'd be watching more closely than Chiksai would know...
