So I've been perusing this fun 1e resource, and I was wondering if someone could explain to me the requirements to be a magic user and cleric back then. Also, any ability adjustments the elves and dwarves made? I don't have an original phb.

I have taken the liberty of beginning to convert some of the statblocks into PF style, and it's entertaining to say the least. I like the lower and more erratic builds they generate.

As a sample, here are the fighters listed. Note that this predates Good and Evil alignments, and Elf and Dwarf were classes unto themselves.

Actually, mind giving us an idea what kind of resource this is?
Seems to be NPCs that your character can recruit for adventures (or am I utterly wrong here)?

Also, what's up with those Int scores?
They would be barely functioning at Int 4 or 5
