As far as new classes, I'm including three classes more suited as NPCs, however some could be used as PCs in appropriate campaigns. They will be detailed in full using the same format as that used in Classic Fantasy. One is from the 1st edition Player's Handbook, the other two are from the early issues of Dragon Magazine. 

They would be the Assassin, Anti-Paladin, and Witch.

I'm also looking at including two classes for the goblinoid races that were very common in AD&D, the Shaman and Witch Doctor.  

All of these are subject to change, but right now, they are planned. As far as the first three, they are all written up and ready to play, and I love the Anti-Paladin.

I can guarantee i will receive begging for an assassin and an anti-paladin. I would not be surprised by a witch either and even a witch doctor.

I'm working on it, and still hoping to turn it in this year. But I am behind schedule so it will be later in the year then I had originally planned. It's coming along though.

@threedeesix would you mind sharing if the Unearthed Campaion would have any new Rank 1-3 spells or will it mostly be focused on filling in the Rank 4-5 content?

Also the blurb at the end of Classic Fantasy mentioned a hex crawl and exploration system.  Would you mind sharing the scale you intend to use, eg 1 hex = 5km?  I was going to work up a kingdom building system for a campaign and it would be great to match those so the group can explore and colonize on the same hex grid.

Yes, Unearthed Companion has almost as many new rank 1-3 spells as what was included in the core rulebook.

There are two scales, Regional scale where one hex equals 50 km. And Local scale where one hex equals 5 km. Therefore, when you 'zoom in' on a Regional hex, it is 10 hexes across.

If you want to start using an abbreviated set of the Hex Crawl rules now, I would suggest picking up anyone of the following...

N1: Tomb of the Mad Wizard
G1: These Violent Delights
G2: Lonely Lighthouse
M2: Moonspike Tower

Each has both Regional and Local scale hex maps as well as the rules for overland travel. As an added bonus, there are random encounter tables geared to the differing terrain as appropriate to the location and climate of each adventure.

Plus, they're pretty awesome adventures in their own right.

I was definitely pleased with the travel movement stuff in the Mad Wizard. I've been using ACKS for my test runs and it fits decently although I have to say that I am a convert to the 6mile local/36 regional hex breakdown. But... who cares a hex is a hex!

Can't wait for Unearthed Arcana to come out! I'm doing pre-season opener in two weeks and my CF campaign is kicking off in the end of August!

Loz and Pete may disagree with this sentiment, but take your time. It is better to get this right than to release something that isn't quite as good as it could be.
