THE RETURN OF THE T.N.T.

CORINNE LEROUX VS LENORA STAFFORD

Corinne 'T.N.T.' Leroux was a once dominant champion that took the IGL Middleweight Division by storm by steam-rolling over the competition including notable wins against Arleen Bland and her aunt, Yolande Leroux. However, this swarm of victories later changed into a swarm of losses with her most recent loss came at a crushing KO defeat at the hands of Clarissa Jackson. After this defeat, she took a short hiatus from in-ring competition but that ends today where she aims for a victory that could start a resurgence in her career.

After a brief celebration of her birthday on April 10 where she turned 27, she posted a video declaring that she would indeed win. Notably, this video featured her new hairstyle and newfound confidence that might signify a new spark to her career.

FIGHT DAY:

ROUND 1: Corinne came out cautious as she tested the waters by throwing jabs from a safe distance. You can still see some hesitations that rooted from her knockout loss in the last fight that was lead by her aggressiveness. She's slowly finding her range through the jabs and when she thought that she had an opening, she tried to throw a left hook that was skillfully guarded by Lenora. It seems that this is gonna be a long night.
ROUND 2: Lenora quickly understood the situation, Corinne was still traumatized from her loss and was scared to take things to her pace. Lenora started pressing forward and caught Corinne off-guard. Lenora became aggressive and threw more punches than usual. Her volume strikes quickly made Corinne panic that made her lose focus and got hit with jabs that were supposed to be easily evaded. Corinne went on poorly throughout the round where Lenora connected with significant punches.

ROUND 3: When Round 3 started, it felt like a continuation of the punishment dealt by Lenora to Corinne as she took full control of the pace that allowed her to swarm Corinne with punches. As Corinne defended, it felt like she's remembering the shades of her losses where she could not answer the barrage that her opponents give. As the round near its end, Lenora sent a left hook that sent shockwaves to the head of Corinne. Luckily, the bell rang and she was saved by it. At this rate, Lenora is going to spoil her much awaited return.

ROUND 4: To the surprise of many, Corinne started this round more aggressively than usual. It felt like she was desperate to take back the pace. She pressed forward to apply pressure to Lenora in order for her to dictate the pace. Later that round, she finally controlled the pace and landed the best punch of the round, a right straight that left Lenora staggering. She did not knock her down but this was the confidence booster she needed. The bell rang and the fighters went back to their corners.

ROUND 5: In this round, Corinne took full advantage of her momentum and pressed forward and landed a lot of significant punches. It felt like she wanted to make a statement for her return. She poured more jabs and straights while avoiding Lenora's counters by parrying or weaving. She became more comfortable as she slowly regained her Championship form and aggressiveness. She got her groove back.

At the end of round 5, she went back to her corner confidently. She stared at her opponent at the opposite corner with such a cold gaze saying "Easy Work". She felt like she could win. She felt like she could reignite her career. She felt the thirst for victory. Confidently, she stood up as the bell rang for Round 6.

ROUND 6: She continued on the work that she's done in the couple previous rounds wherein she pressured Lenora to be defensive. Lenora was stuck receiving the better punches throughout the round as Corinne skillfully read her moves and countered appropriately. As the round progressed, Corinne became more confident as she looked loose on the ring and was the more active fighter.

ROUND 7: Lenora had no answers. Corinne looked like the dominant champion she once were. She embarrassed Lenora for the whole duration of the final round wherein she took her to school by showing her fundamentals. Her Jabs, Hooks, Crosses, and Straights were sharp. Her defense was in top-shape. Somehow, she regained her fire during this fight that started from her desperate attempt to take control of the pace. The round ended with a beautiful exclamation point, a right straight that almost took Lenora's head off. She's BACK! The champ is back!

WINNER BY UNANIMOUS DECISION, CORINNE LEROUX!

After the fight, she headed back to the locker room where she met her Aunt and she immediately said, "I DID IT! I'M BACK!" Holding back her tears, her proud aunt hugged her and applauded her for a job well done. Corinne said, "Let's take a picture to commemorate my return!!!"
