CANDHYSS SHANE MALLA vs SONAKSHI CHOPRA

"Prinsesa" vs "Roaring Lioness"

Two fighters looking to bounce back and avenge their previous losses. This is a fight that fans should not miss. I believe that the stakes are high as these fighters are hungry to get the victory. Candhyss losing a close fight to a former title contender in the Lightweight division, Eleonora Rivelli, made her go back to the drawing board and try to get another win to climb up the rankings once again. Sonakshi, on the other hand, is trying to erase her three fight losing streak with a win tonight. Surely, these two fighters would want to rise back up in the rankings and try to earn a title shot.
Round 1: Feeling a sense of urgency and desperate for a win, Sonakshi rushed from the corner and immediately pressed Candhyss and caught her off guard. Candhyss tried to neutralize her opponent by dodging her punches by weaving and parrying. However, the pressure that Sonakshi provided was enough to push Candhyss to the ropes where her movement was limited. Seizing her opportunity, Sonakshi unleashed a combination of punches that met leather as Candhyss put on a tight guard. This did not stop Sonakshi as she carefully selected her punches and landed some solid jabs and straights on her opponent's face.
Round 2: Pissed off from the previous round, Candhyss had a more aggressive look as she left her corner. The natural in-fighter was itching to land her punches to her opponent, she was clenching her mouthguard as she met Sonakshi at the center of the squared circle. She took the initiative this round and landed more punches and received some. However, she was more aggressive and more smarter as she changed her rhythm making Sonakshi confused that ultimately caused her eat a powerful uppercut that landed squarely on the jaw of the Indian opponent.
Round 3: Riding from the momentum of that round, Candhyss made sure that this round would be the same than the last. She pressed the offense on her opponent making sure that she won't get any advantage. She did as she landed more punches in this round that drowned Sonakshi with punches and was unable to respond. At one point in the round, Sonakshi was slacking with her defense as she soon became fatigued from the pressure that Candhyss poured on her and got caught with a strong left hook that rocked her, luckily, it was towards the end of the round so Candhyss did not have the opportunity to follow up and finish the fight.
Round 4: Candhyss was commanding the fight at this point with the momentum at her hands so she tried to shift down her gears to conserve her energy and became less aggressive this round. BIG MISTAKE. Sonakshi with her veteran fighting abilities noticed that Candhyss dropped her guard. She quickly pressed her to the ropes once again and landed punches that made her opponent regret taking her for granted. She landed hooks that were unanswered due to Candhyss being at a disadvantage. This lasted throughout the end of the round.
Round 5: After being scolded by her corner, Candhyss woke up from her actions and took command of the fight once again. This time, she went to overdrive and pressured her opponent as the bell rang. She landed calculated punches that made it seem like she was a surgeon carefully dissecting her opponent's guard. She had an answer for every move that Sonakshi tried on her. She was not letting her guard down anymore and showed flashes of being the next superstar in glamboxing. She looked like a champion. Sonakshi was overwhelmed.

Round 6: Candhyss continued her aggression as she pressed Sonakshi to the red corner, Sonakshi's corner. As she pressed her opponent there, you can hear the voices of her coach to land specific punches to her opponent. However, it seem like Candhyss had an answer for every command of the foe's coach, not only that, she did it with finesse that made her opponent eat solid punches in front of her corner.
Round 7: Feeling confident on what she did in the fight and as soon as her corner left, she stood at her corner looking at the people and smiling as if she has this in the bag already. She then went to work after a moment of basking in her glory. She went on and closed the fight as she did not give Sonakshi a breathing room to answer back. She landed power punches hoping to knock her opponent out to achieve the perfect victory. However, Sonakshi had a relatively solid chin. Tempted to knock her out, Candhyss landed as powerful right straight towards the end of the round that made Sonakshi wobble and was ready to kiss the canvas. Unfortunately, the bell rang at the moment Candhyss lunged to deliver a final blow.

WINNER BY UNANIMOUS DECISION, CANDHYSS SHANE MALLA

Kingblackflame18,
what a great fight.  A match like this one is just what the Lightweight Division needs to showcase the excitement of women's boxing doesn't just reside  in the middleweight or heavier weight divisions.  Both fighters wanted this victory badly as they displayed throughout the full seven-rounds.  I was impressed by the improvement exhibited by "Prinsesa"  who executed her fight plan nearly perfectly.  She may have gotten a little over confident at one point in the match, but hopefully she learned the valuable lesson - "It ain't over until it is over!".  I think these two women both did themselves proud while providing the fans like me with a memorable experience of watching and enjoying the great sport of women's boxing.  Keep the good fight stories coming .  Your fan, Griffy.
