My wife's family is still trying to piece together their family history and how they came west from New England. The oldest relative that might have helped them out, my wife's grandmother, past last month.

She wasn't much help in the past, as she was diagnosed with schizophrenia early on. Most information was unreliable at best, confusing most of the time. (Probably why my wife ended up in the psychology field to begin with.)

I will continue to look around for any pics that might look like what you're looking for. It's hard to tell with so many of them referenced to the same subjects.

Thank you Cullen. I would certainly like to know the identity of the mystery woman in to photo of the Harrisville farmhouse, even if she is not Bathsheba Sherman... she is dressed so funky! I also wish that I could have met that elderly gentleman in West Greenwich who actually remembered Nellie Vaughn in life. He could likely have provided a physical description of Nellie, which I would loved to have known just for personal curiosity. Imagine knowing what one of these historic young farm ladies actually looked like!

As someone who loves history, that vampire kit is facinating. Folk lore can really give insight into people's fears and beliefs. I remember coming across an article where they found a suspected vampire's grave. Apparently they would jam a stone in the mouth so it couldn't feed on people if it escaped the grave.

As someone who can't stand anything related to teeth, those pictures always terrify me haha.
