Hi, My name is Mike, and I'm new to this forum. Well, I guess that's a little apparent, but anyways I digress. I would like to get a few Demonology book recommendations, I've checked online, but everything I've come up with is a band, the bible, and the Warrens documented cases. While the Warrens' documented cases are interesting and the bible does give insight, i would like to further my knowledge on this topic.

I've had my own experiences with the paranormal as an amateur investigator I had some good, some bad, and some extremely terrifyingly life altering. On one of these incidents I feel that I stumbled on something very evil. May it be poltergeist or, Demonic, either way, I would like something in print and published that I can take with me.

Personally, i would have loved to take a demonology course but due to a tight budget, and even tighter time restraints I could only afford the books.

Thank you in advance for any and all tips/recommendations.

Yours truly,
Mike.

Hello and welcome.

I've read a few that sound more like what you are looking for, but I can not recommend them. They mostly read like the old Laying of hands type of "cure" for everything from possession to treatment of cancer.

While I realize that Jesus himself did not differentiate between the two, and cast them both out with the laying of hands, this would be a very special talent, and quite rare. The books with various encounters have a great deal to teach. More about what you will face than the actual practice of exorcism.

There are a few people to follow and learn different techniques. Father Andrew Calder (passed away), Kenneth Deal and of course Keith Johnson and the D3.

Next, I recommend finding a local mentor. Someone who actively studies demonology and does exorcisms.

Matthew 16:19 "I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."

"A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort." -Herm Albright

I agree with texastroll mostly..

I read everything...presently i am studying hoodoo and voodoo to see what people who practice that do..I have read some of the more illustrious grimoires on well, demon summoning and high magic..not for me..but it gives me an idea of what is done and therefore what can be done to reverse and or defend from it.
Some of the stuff i have learned and experienced especially what people do to other people makes one very humble indeed. Unpleasant though.

An oldie but a goodie lol is Pig In The Parlor not a demonolgy book but one on deliverance.
https://www.amazon.com/Pigs-Parlor-Practica...g+in+the+parlor

An oldie I know but there is a lot of practical advice in there and my belief is there are demons or evil spirits associated with different dysfunctions...you have to find out if there is a demon attached to everything sometimes things are just mundane. it has it's great benefits though.

This one is good...imo.
https://www.amazon.com/Demonology-Devil-lor...79578874&sr=8-1

it is free on kindle..which you can read through an app on the phone.

Rosemary Guiley is an incredible writer and has a few books this one with John Zaffis who wrote the forward......https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005LD4W8...EB0445F8Z47HCFQ

Library has many...I hope these help if you can get them.
read as much as you can get your hands one...if you are dealing with a spirit at many times you must call out the spirit and as there are spiritual laws if you call out an elemental and it is an imp just as an example it will not work....Many prayers and loads of blessings to you for doing this! :) :)

I really like Malachi Martin's books, as well as Fr. Amorth's. They are of a distinctly Catholic bent, so if you're not into that you may not like it - but the Catholics know what's up when it comes to demonology and possession.

John Zaffis is another person you may find helpful in terms of reading. I enjoyed his book tremendously.

There are many other practices across cultures that can help you out as well. Google Soul Shard Retrieval...it's a Shamanic practice that is often used in exorcism. Tibetan Buddhism also has well documented exorcism rituals that are a Google Search away.

I wouldn't go too far into Ceremonial Magick, or Thelemite practices. It's sort of a windy occult road that you may have difficulty with - as even the most knowledgeable and experienced practitioners won't call up what they can't put down. I get the creeps reading their stuff on demons, but your mileage may vary.

I need to give Shadows of the Dark by Zaffis another read. I remember thoroughly enjoying it when I was younger (not to mention blood chilling haha).

As for ceremonial magick, it's an interesting topic to read about, but that's all for me. The more advanced stuff sounds terrifying to me and I'm all set with opening portals for other beings to cross over. Too easy to get burned and not know how to extinguish it.

Exactly.

I have trouble believing that any mortal could really control a demon, anyway...even with the proper protections in place from a Ceremonial Magick perspective.
