Qualifying run, first lap was fastest for all cars. Low through the tri-oval, middle groove in the turns, outside on the straights.
Car mods -
Inertia numbers adjusted using front, side and overhead area instead of rectangles -> This should affect handling
Car width in aero section to actual body width (Default = 1.9, Charger/Daytona/Coronet = 1.948, Road Runner = 1.941, Chevelle = 1.930, Talladega = 1.895) -> This should affect draftingWeight distribution set to 5# increments and limited by make and model's shipping weight -> This should affect aero cars on short tracks
Body aero adjusted on most cars (Talladega/Charger/Daytona/ = 0.425, Others = 427) -> This should affect the drag when a spoiler gets damaged
Front and rear spoiler adjusted -> This affects the car's drag and lift
Tires changed to less durable, more heat and pressure sensitive with DISS slip curves -> This affects everything
Buick, Olds and Pontiac (beta) wish list cars added/adjusted, HP peaks at lower RPM's -> This should make them quick on short tracks but not as quick on big tracks
Impala (beta) added to wish list -> It's not as squirrely as the Chevelle, easy to drive at Talladega
*DISCLAIMER* - Your results may vary. The goal was to get 1969 times and work up to 1970 times via setups and practice over time.
I'm hoping we can have a Talladega test session again soon and see how the drafting is.
