I can not get the game to function at all on my brand new iMac 24inch.

I threw away prefs, as I had read elsewhere, but nothing works. Any ideas?

Dear Voodooboy,

Welcome to the forum and thank you very much for your interest in our free tech-support. However, in order for us to do our job better, we require some actual facts a little bit of additional information to make a better diagnosis:
  • What version of RtDC are you using?
  • What version of MacOS X are you using?
  • What RAM and Disk specs? (probably less interesting)
  • What are the symptoms of the crash:
  • - at what point does it crash (as soon as you open the app, during launch...?)
  • - are you running it full-screen? (If so, have you read this page?)
  • - can you hear anything before it crashes?
  • - does the game actually quit cleanly (do you get a ``this program has crashed dialogue")?
  • do you have a crash log you can submit? ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/Dark Castle 3.crash.log
Kind regards,

Edit: IFB's `preview' mode supports nested lists, but the final output doesn't! How lame is that?

Well I can offer some of those answers.

Im running a macbook pro 2.5.
RDC 1.31
10.55
4 gigs
250 gig drive

The programs causes the screen to go black, then 20 seconds later the screen breaks into blocks. 10 seconds later I hear a boing boing and then everything locks up. Hard booting is the only answer. Im tired of this darn it.

Then I suspect your question has already been answered in three separate threads now - although some of them have since been merged.
