Image and Level Data

This is a forum for discussing many of the new level and story elements in DC3, without spoiling them to the unlucky folk, who haven't played it yet. It is also for discussion of spoilers about the first two games. If you would like help finding secrets, try one of the sub forums.

I was digging through the image and level data of the resource fork and noticed some stuff which may be related to the level editor. Would it be okay to post those pictures?

Also, here are some transparent PNG files I output if anyone is interested:

These are all direct from the image data, no special cutting needed (except for the simple shield). Also, the alpha layer from the original image data was used for the purple glow behind the knight's armor, so it is exactly as it appears in-game in the inventory. There is no alpha used for the rest of the items.

There is plenty more where this came from, including individual frames of all the animations in case anyone has a request.

Yeah I found these like 7 years ago in the teaser.

I made some of the emoticons with them.

The armor and the alpha blend layer were in the teaser resource fork? Seems unlikely, but it really does bring into perspective how long a delay the release of the game suffered. Probably for the best, sure, but yeah...

Anyway, Izdale asked for all of the data so I figured I'd just do everyone a favor and zip it up for you all and drop it here:

You may need to make sure it is all taken from the demo, and not the full game, (As I am not sure if they use the same data files) because it is illegal to post copywritten material.

`copywritten' is not a word - It is copyright not copywrite.

You should not use material under copyright without the copyright holder's consent.

The graphics within the game are just as much under copyright in the demo as they are in the real game.

Hence technically, all the custom emoticons in this forum along with the use of the dark castle logo font in the top left and icons on the buttons etc are all copyright violations.

Does anyone care though? Probably not.

Having looked through it, I think we can safely confirm that there are no other easter eggs than Dec. 25 and Oct. 31
