Didn't somebody here (Ginny?) go to Xanadu the Musical? What was it like? Did they do the whole 20 minute medley thing at the end like the movie?

The reason I ask is that later in the month a local high school is doing it. I'm really thinking of going. Xanadu is like in my top 10 of horribly awesome awful movies.

During Christmas I went to a high school Christmas show my daughters friends put on, totally written and produced by the kids. It was probably one of my favorite Christmas things ever. I wanted to write about it here, but it was actually kinda indescribable, lots of amateurism but also lots of heart - and lots of hilarity, both intentional and unintentional.

The thought of high school kids doing Xanadu sounds unmissable.

And there she is, my disturbed, adolescent muse. Please don't delete her.

It's the best rollerskating-themed movie of all time. She wore roller boots. Roller. BOOTS.

The first LP I ever bought was at a used record store. It was "Physical" by ONJ. There I said it.

Listen, Sweet Cheeks. Roller Boogie was a vastly superior rollerskate-themed movie.
