It seems like this board has gone quiet. Maybe it's the mid-summer movie doldrums. Maybe there's nothing really good out there to discuss. I would like to see more talked about than what's in the obvious Top 5. Give us a clip or name of an oldie you dig, made before 1960 (if you can). And B&W, if you can. And also why.

Why? The dialogue, and Bacall's smoking hotness. And it's Bogart in a plot that you can follow (I lose a lot of people with "Maltese Falcon" because it confuses them).
