I was watching Cinema Snob review and Brad mentioned "Battleship" based on the old-school 80s board game. It stars Liam Neeson.

"Fire the weapons."

"Which ones?"

"Which one's do you fucking think!?"

"Well how many?"

"All of them!"

"Why didn't you just say "fire all the weapons, sir"?"

The ship explodes and is sunk due to pure stupidity.

Looks seriously terrible. Studios will do ANYTHING for brand recognition. There isn't even a paper thin story to go along with the game. Why bother? I knew it would be bad but Christ that looks like a special breed of awful.

I know right. When Hollywood makes a move (no pun intended) such as this, it makes me shake my head in shame.

I was feelin' it ... had that Top Gun-ish vibe... then the aliens came into play.

Watched a review from Matthew Buck's show Projector. He's a UK online reviewer and recently reviewed this flick as it has already opened there.

Why are these directors stooping the bottom the barrel and releasing these Michael Bay clones?
