Mania 13 Update: More for the "Nothing New" Files. Complaining about "The Artist Known as" Shinsuke Nakamura? Think that ridiculous nickname is something that Vince just had pop into his mind and has never done before?

"The Man They Call" Vader.

No shit. What else are they going to call him? Leon? Baby Bull? Fat piece of shit?

Hey now... he was just three years too early. He eventually won it from Some Canadian Guy in 2000.

Watched last week's NXT and was a little bummed at seeing No Way Jose. I didn't mind, too much, that he lost to Velveteen Dream, but rather that he got almost no reaction from the crowd for anything (antics or moves).Sure, it's the cool smarky thing to cheer for Velveteen Dream, nowadays, but this was a little troubling.

Jose's character and gimmick seemed destined for failure when he debuted. But he got over and made it work. I don't know if he had an injury or what, but I think they missed his window of opportunity to be get called up. Ideally, it would've been right after Wrestlemania, last year. He wouldn't have been a main eventer, but if he had any chance to get established as a legitimate midcard guy, it was then. Now, it seems like he's just hanging on and might be gone by the end of the year.

Just like Tye, I don't see substance for the character, and a reinvention doesn't seem likely.

I was just wondering why Johnny Gargano's submission is the "Gargano Escape." Then I realized "Garga-NO ESCAPE."

I suck.

Been watching early ECW from 93 and man I forgot just how bad this shit was. I mean back then seeing guys like Snuka and Muraco still wrestling in 93 was a nice nostalgia trip but 25 years later? Not so much. What was I thinking?!?!

On top of it they were the top heels in the company during that time.

Elimination Chamber was, without question, a show that went 3 hr. 20 min.

Details tomorrow when I care to remember what just happened (a lot of nothing).
