If TNA goes out of business because they secretly had Vince Russo on the payroll, that would be the greatest thing ever.

I'll be at the Aug 6 Hammerstein ballroom Impact taping
Wonder how the mood will be if they definitely lost the contract.

I was at one of the shows last month, it was a great show

Yeah, so far I've only seen the first episode taped from NYC, but it was the most I've enjoyed Impact in ages. It's frustrating to see what they're capable of but more often than not they choose to screw around.

PWTorch is reporting that Spike and TNA agreed to a contract extension that keeps Impact on the air through the remainder of 2014.

As we previously reported, TNA Wrestling was offered a deal by The Discovery Channel's VELOCITY Network, which is in 48 million homes and in HD only.

The deal with VELOCITY is being called a "worst case scenario". If Impact Wrestling moved to the network, TNA would have to make a lot of internal changes and would almost be a completely different organization. They would have to cut back considerably on production costs and the current roster would likely be gone, as it would be impossible for TNA to keep any top talent they have now.

What the fuck is the Velocity Network? For a second I thought it was WWE's C-Show on at 10 at night on Spike.

I'm pretty sure I get this network, but I've never watched it. Sounds like TNA would no longer be the same company with this move, as they would have to downsize the roster and production values.

If that's the worst case scenario, then shut it down.

Right, what's the point of TNA continuing to exist if they are just going to keep shrinking. I doubt Velocity thinks they're paying for a show that will be taped in front of 50 people in a minimalist setting with ECIII and Spud feuding with each other for the World title.
