Cool write-up Rowe. That main event sounds all kinds of badass.

Radican, who generally rates matches fairly low said the main event was a ***** match, and the stiffest he has ever seen, including Japan.

Yeah, the more I've been thinking back to the main event, the more I think I probably underrated it. I'd probably be comfortable saying it's ****3/4, not sure if I'd go as high as *****. However, it was a fucking beautifully stiff match that had me jumping out of my seat at times.

BUMP!

I was such a cute little mark back then.

I just officially reviewed this show for da site and rated the main event ****1/4. I was worried when I found this thread that I was going to vomit at any star ratings I'd given, but pretty much everything I said then is about 1/4* around what I said in 2013.

I believe I counted 4 current WWE Talent, and at least 3 TNA talent in that show. Honestly, I miss that era of ROH. The stuff now lacks the aura that they had back then.

Agreed. I appreciate what Delirious and company are attempting to do right now, but ROH hasn't been the same in years. I feel like for whatever reason ROH started really losing their way once the Age of the Fall debuted. They've had great shows and some pretty decent years (creatively) since 2007, but it's never been the same.

I think it's in part the creative, and in part the talent. ROH is a destination in itself. People get to ROH, and feel like they've made it. That changes things. It seems like guys like Joe, Punk, Danielson, etc wanted to make ROH something instead of feeling like they've made it

Was this show really six-and-half years ago?

Sometimes it's easy to bump up stars when you see a show live. Either things seem better because you're getting the live experience, or you look back on the matches with a certain fondness when you watch it back on DVD with that sense of nostalgia.
