The team had gotten the chance to have a night off as things with the Speed Demons had died down. The whole matter had gotten complicated. It was resolved as part of a team effort. Now, they had taken the time to relax. It was a full blown meal with steak (grilled by Hannibal), shrimp, salad, and baklava which was washed down by Moonlight's favorite ouzo.

As Amanda wished down some of the baklava with a sip of ouzo, she touched her earpiece and listened intently. "Right. heads up, folks. A bank is the process of being robbed in Sydney. We're closer than any local officer at the moment. Looks like the villains are heading our way in a car. I call it a two person job which means Hannibal and Moonlight. If things get out of hand you two, then let us know and more can pile on. These guys only have handguns and a SUV. You want it/"

Spirits were high, and spirits were poured - well, the latter being the form of some of the best ouzo she could get her hands on this side of the globe. Sofia Nikecrates poured herself a round and after a rather loud "OPA!" downed it quick. It was then balanced out with the wonderful steak grilled by her fellow teammate and the sweetness of the baklava. For the moment, it felt exactly like home back in her native Greece, with her family and friends all around celebrating...well, anything. Well, there would have been dancing, but due to the abundance of liquor, she wasn't sure if dancing would be appropriate right now; no sense in trying something and busting an ankle. So the blonde archer chatted and laughed with the others, keeping the spirits flowing.

That isn, until Amanda buzzed with some sobering news. Really? A bank robbery, and they were the closest to respond? The jovial mood she had immediately soured as she tried to find a way to sober up quickly. "Had we known something like this would happen, I would have found a substitute beverage." The Grecian replied, already heading for her room to grab her bow. So her and Hannibal had the task of bringing these robbers to a halt...easily done. With the skill the two of them had, this could be resolved easily and they would be back to the merriment before the clock struck midnight...so she hoped. "I defer to the judgement of our resident arms specialist aka Hannibal." Sofia replied upon returning, giving a nod to the direction of the mentioned male.

Griffin had shrugged at his finished work, while Sofia enjoyed his cooking, which brought him joy, and a sense of belonging within the team. He took part in the merriment, but found himself lost in the revelry.

Hearing the sudden news, however, brought him out of his joyful mood, frustrating him.

"Let's ruin their day, Madame. Consider this an invitation to build on our camaraderie."

Coming back downstairs now, he looked over to Amanda and asked the question "With criminals like this, who needs a hobby?"

Grenade launcher and his sticky foam rounds loaded, sporting his relaxing attire, with a combat vest and webbing over it, the whites of his tennis shoe bottoms illuminated his path as he made his way out.

"Keep me posted on their position, I intend to return to our party."

Amanda stayed on the comms as the duo left. "They are still headed this way and should be passing about a mile away from the base. Not sure why they chose to come our direction." As the garage door opened, the police sirens could be heard in the distance approaching as the sounds of muscle car could be heard drawing closer. "Are you going to jog it on foot or take a vehicle?"

The 'invitation' to build up their partnership was accepted with a grin. "Seems I have found a kindred spirit in the field of combat, as well as taking down criminals who dare oppose the laws of justice and decency." Okay, that was a bit long-winded, but Greeks were known for such speeches, even in the ancient days. As for the question about hobbies, Sofia shot back, "Archery is my hobby, good sir! I actually had made the Olympics team for archery when I resided in Greece some time ago, but I have always abstained as to try and bring notice to the woes of my nation."

As to the question on whether they were going to jog or drive there, the blonde shook her head. If they were within a mile, she could hit them with ease thanks to Argyros's telescopic vision. "Perhaps they wish to draw us out for some odd reason; if they are just mere criminals, I'm certain that Hannibal and I can handle them with relative ease." Argyros was on her shoulder and the usual climbing gear was added, just in case. "Ready to go, sir."

"It's not far now. The element of surprise depends on a rapid change in status-quo," Griffin said as he now reached the stretch of road. He focused his breathing, slowing it down as he steadied his hands.

"Lemme tell you a story..." He said as he stood in the middle of the road, before removing his webbing and equipment, placing it on the ground in front of his feet.

"When I was in Tibet, I learned how to harness this power I discovered on accident. A monk came to me and taught me to open my Chakra. Seven Chakras for my body. Muladhara, Svadhisthana, Nabhi-Manipura, Anahata, Vishuddhi, Ajna, Sahasrara. Each one must be channelled...but the most important thing...Is to FOCUS."

He stood in the middle of the road, palms outstretched to the sky as he took a deep breath of air and held it, slowly exhaling as he slowly moved his body into a three-point stance, waiting for the moment the vehicle would be just about to hit him.

One human wall coming up. his mind spoke aloud.

As Moonlight and Hannibal prepared themselves, a car could be seen hurtling toward them. If it was not for the sound of tires on asphalt or the roaring of an engine, the headlights certainly gave it away. It was certainly in a hurry and accelerated toward their position.

As it got closer, a barely perceptible field seemed to appear before Hannibal. Whoever was driving seemed to notice that he was out in front of them on the road as gunfire either missed or ricocheted off the field as the car accelerated intending to run him and Moonlight off of the road. Hannibal stood his ground as the vehicle closed quickly. Abruptly, the front end of it crumpled before careening off of the road and on to its side.

The police were closing fast behind it before did not see Hannibal slump to one knee before Moonlight yanked him out of the path of their car. The police cruiser screeched to a halt as the Sydney Police officers exited the vehicle. "Bloody hell!"

Sofia was half-listening, half preparing her own mind for what needed to be done. The hunter's instinct was slowly taking over as she slid Argyros off of her shoulder and prepped a freezing arrow at the tires, keeping a lead on the car in case Hannibal's human wall didn't go as well as he hoped. She worried about his safety, and sent a prayer to the gods to not let his thread of life be cut short.

"Holy Zeus!" The Grecian archer breathed when the car made contact with the 'human wall'. The impact was more devastating than she anticipated; springing into action, Sofia grabbed Hannibal and rolled them both out of the way of the police car as it skidded to a halt. "Please do not scare me like that again..." She managed to get out, checking his vitals to insure that he was alive before getting to her feet and once more prepared her icy shot. This time, she aimed it at the ground under the car and loosed the arrow, making sure that if these guys were making a run for t, they would slip and fall where they stood.

A dry laugh escaped his lips as he witnessed his handiwork. Even being pulled aside and out of the way, his eyes didn't leave the site of impact.

"A long time ago, I stopped a truck about to hit this small boy in Nepal. Takes me back, I guess..."

He was then immediately scolded for his actions, to which he replied dryly: "I can't be growing on you that fast."

Indeed, it was reckless, but it was effective. Like his Drill Sergeant once said: "If it's stupid and it works, it isn't stupid."

Standing up, he dusted his pants off and shook his head, looking over to his Grecian friend. "You and I have something in common. We both want to live peacefully...but we find ourselves with talents...Gifts, even. These things we can't give back..."

He said this as he flexed his forearms, feeling the muscles relax after the sudden exertion of both mental and physical force. "So we have to use them. For good. For something bigger than ourselves. Living in service to those who would otherwise shun us or turn us away if we showed up hungry on their doorstep. In all my years of service, I know nobody cares about what happens to me, so long as they're protected. That kind of selfless service is borderline altruistic, insanity at the molecular level, yet we persist like this. Bound to an honor code we made either to ourselves or someone else...Listen to me, The alcohol's waxing poetic on you..."

Slowly, he walked over to the car, careful not to slip on the ice as he attempted to reach the criminals in the vehicle so they could be properly apprehended by the police. Reaching the vehicle tipped on its side, he jumped atop the passenger door side, and pulled the heavy door open.

"Don't move. You move, I turn you both into drywall," He bluffed. It sounded convincing, however. He reached down to grab the first man he saw.
