When we were over in April/May we visited our old school teacher in Windermere we had chats about walking in the Lake District. He mentioned a coast to coast walk of about 100 miles. Later in the trip we stayed in Winchester and in the B&B we stayed in there were a group of people beginning the South Downs way form Winchester to Eastbourne. These walks are long distances where a van drives your luggage to the next stop. Have you ever done such walks ?

I am not that good a walker.  I only do about 6 miles at a time.  I was in St Bees in June where the Coast to Coast walk beings or ends.
