I don't do the Listener all that often nowadays, but I'm glad I made the effort for this one - it was one of the most enjoyable puzzles I've solved for many a month. It had everything a great Listener ought to have: a simple idea beautifully executed, with no huge mental leaps required of the solver, just a series of pleasing PDMs leading to a thoroughly satisfying conclusion. On top of that, both the grid construction and the (excellent) clues were entirely consistent with the theme - Roddy Forman would have approved!

Enjoyed this excellent crossword. Failed to notice the extra twist that the misprints were all thematically second letters in clues.

I agree with all that Richard has said above. I failed to notice the consistent pattern of alterations to grid entries, hence made a couple of errors to begin with. Now I've read the solution notes I see that construction is even better than I thought. Yes, Radix would have applauded the thematic integrity of the puzzle.
