Hi all
First thanks to the admin that helped me get my account set up
I haven’t actually got my cb yet, but fingers crossed I will have next month.
Not massive amounts of radio experience, we had cb when I was a kid, and I bought a bayofeng hand held a few years ago 70cm/2m but as I haven’t got round to doing my licence I only listen. I’m quite an outdoorsy type which is why I bought the handheld, I quite often take myself up the moors and get myself lost for a few days, so it’s more in case I ever need help really, but quite fun listening in and seeing what else I can pick up. I also have a 4x4 and some of the guys I go off road with use cb to communicate with only standard 40channels. But this is what originally got me interested in buying a cb. Whilst researching I discovered that sideband was no longer illegal, we never had a sideband hidden away back in the days it was illegal, honest !
Any way after much research I have set my sights on a crt 6900 although this might change, as there are a few things I’m hoping people here will be able to help me with but I will put them in a different post
Glad to be here
Damo!
Ps can I have a call sign please
