I unsoldered a 3842 from another monitor and it still wouldn't start.
I ordered brand new parts from Mouser and when I get them I will try it again...

Hello,

Check IRF644, very close to HOT, for short/open circuit. This is the same model as HP, Model:D2827A, Chassis: 518X

In addition to HOT, BU2520DX and IRF644 been short circuited. I get continuiuty readings between primary (pins 1 & 2) with pins 3 and 4.

As I don't have a schematic of this chassis or flyback or the HR equivalent, would someone advice me if this is normal.

Sincerely
