Last night little guy woke up at 2 am...which is a bit earlier than usual for him but gee he went to bed at 6:45...he couldn't keep his little body going another minute...and so I got up...changed a very wet diaper which probably wasn't feeling very good and gave him a warm bottle of milk....he drifted off but I did not.

For 4 hours I laid awake in a cold sweat trying to feel something...sore breasts, nope, cramping, nope, twinges,nope...nothing but fear.

I finally woke my DH at 6 am and told him all my fears...he listened or said he was anyway...he was quiet...but told me to just hang on until I knew otherwise...and so shortly thereafter the whole family got up and as soon as the older kids were off to school and little guy had his bananas and cereal we were out the door.

The lab was thankfully not busy and they were so great there...but this is a small town...from that lab the blood goes to the hospital and hopefully they will send the results out in the early afternoon (remember I'm on the west coast so it's just noon here right now)...and then the clinic will call later in the day.

AFter the lab work I went shopping at Winners (do you have that in the STates?" I just love shopping there b/c they have nice clothes for not a lot of money...I know what you mean about getting out Boosmom...feels so good and takes one away from ones worries and concerns.

Anyway I bought some cool jeans for my guy...and a few shirts...and socks...it's his 52nd birthday tomorrow...I'll have to pick up some Starbucks coffee later for him...he loves his coffee (I don't drink it but I love the smell of Starbucks!) anyway...I also picked up the board books, Good Night MOon, and Runaway Bunny for my little guy..he has already eaten torn up one Good night Moon and it's our fav and so I wanted to spoil him. My daughter Grace has two birthday parties to attend tomorrow too so I picked up some cute p.J's for one of the little girls (her mom said she desperately needed a new pair)...it was fun.

Then we slowly went to the car and little guy has been napping...I hear him starting to talk now..I've been resting and while I was resting..voila...little twingey feelings down low...do you think there is someone still living in there...? I so hope so..anyway I'll let you know as soon as I hear...for some of you it may be the evening.

Thanks again for thinking and sending good my thoughts my way...you are next Boosmom..take it easy..I'm glad you got out and about...but rest, rest, rest...and dream...there is something very magical about the number 3.

And this quote is for all of you...but particularly Shamrock who shares the best quotes with me,

"Nurture your hopes, hold them close and understand that they are the seeds of good things to come." (from my spirit of Hope book)

to take care of myself as well as my family.
You have your little one to distract you right now and thank goodness you have him to keep you busy. I think it is so nice that your DH is so tuned in and is a great support. My guy is great in his way, but he is analytical and always wants to fix things, give advice etc. He was really good when we cycled twice. He was willing to take a leap of faith and go along with DE IVF that he knew little about. So. I love him for that. I was holding my DD recently and we were reminiscing a bit. I looked down at her and told my DD that Daddy gave me you. He was sitting in the room. I think it touched him, as men don't get much credit for the part they play with providing their DNA. Just yakking away here, to get your mind off the call that's coming from the clinic today.
I think your DH should take you out for dinner tonight, that way you don't need to worry about what to make etc. I'm having pork loin. Easy and yummy.
Are you having a big Thanksgiving dinner this weekend? We are having ours on Sunday. We invited his parents. It will be nice and low stress. Can't wait for the turkey and prime rib!
Thanksgiving and Christmas are my favorite holiday's. I love the fall and all the reds, oranges and yellows of the leaves. I want to take my DD to a pumpkin farm soon, so that she can go into the field and choose some pumpkins. She is looking forward to trick or treating this year. Do you take Grace and Will out to trick or treat?
Love Winners and Home Sense. This week I bought 2 lamps for the family room from home sense. Very funky and fun. The bases are blue-green ceramic with silver bands and olivey shades with a sixties type silvery blue design. You can get some really great things at winners and home sense.
I hope I've provided a little diversion for you if you get a chance to see this.
I'll check in in a while, to see if you've posted.
Pulling for the congratulations call for you and your DH!
Hugs,
Shamrock

Don't have anything to divert you. Just waiting & hoping with you. Shamrock has a good idea of going out to dinner. Shouldn't be long now...
