Last night little guy woke up at 2 am...which is a bit earlier than usual for him but gee he went to bed at 6:45...he couldn't keep his little body going another minute...and so I got up...changed a very wet diaper which probably wasn't feeling very good and gave him a warm bottle of milk....he drifted off but I did not.
For 4 hours I laid awake in a cold sweat trying to feel something...sore breasts, nope, cramping, nope, twinges,nope...nothing but fear.
I finally woke my DH at 6 am and told him all my fears...he listened or said he was anyway...he was quiet...but told me to just hang on until I knew otherwise...and so shortly thereafter the whole family got up and as soon as the older kids were off to school and little guy had his bananas and cereal we were out the door.
The lab was thankfully not busy and they were so great there...but this is a small town...from that lab the blood goes to the hospital and hopefully they will send the results out in the early afternoon (remember I'm on the west coast so it's just noon here right now)...and then the clinic will call later in the day.
AFter the lab work I went shopping at Winners (do you have that in the STates?" I just love shopping there b/c they have nice clothes for not a lot of money...I know what you mean about getting out Boosmom...feels so good and takes one away from ones worries and concerns.
Anyway I bought some cool jeans for my guy...and a few shirts...and socks...it's his 52nd birthday tomorrow...I'll have to pick up some Starbucks coffee later for him...he loves his coffee (I don't drink it but I love the smell of Starbucks!) anyway...I also picked up the board books, Good Night MOon, and Runaway Bunny for my little guy..he has already eaten torn up one Good night Moon and it's our fav and so I wanted to spoil him. My daughter Grace has two birthday parties to attend tomorrow too so I picked up some cute p.J's for one of the little girls (her mom said she desperately needed a new pair)...it was fun.
Then we slowly went to the car and little guy has been napping...I hear him starting to talk now..I've been resting and while I was resting..voila...little twingey feelings down low...do you think there is someone still living in there...? I so hope so..anyway I'll let you know as soon as I hear...for some of you it may be the evening.
Thanks again for thinking and sending good my thoughts my way...you are next Boosmom..take it easy..I'm glad you got out and about...but rest, rest, rest...and dream...there is something very magical about the number 3.
And this quote is for all of you...but particularly Shamrock who shares the best quotes with me,
"Nurture your hopes, hold them close and understand that they are the seeds of good things to come." (from my spirit of Hope book)
Love and light from Hope
And we're all keeping positive thoughts.
