Not to sound stupid, but what is an bch booster? Don't think in all my cycling I had or heard of one...

sometimes the re prescribes an extra dose of hcg to encourage the embies to stick around. I think the idea is to keep telling the body "you're pg" until finally it gets it.

Beta went from 97 on Monday to 179 today. And I had an hcg shot Monday night, so the nurse says that might inflate it by 25. I'm a little worried, because if 179 is inflated, that means it might just be 154, which would mean it's not doubling properly. Best case scenario, there were 2, and now just 1. But I'm hating these hcg boosters!

Progesterone went from 50 to 16 -- they told me to stop pio the other night, and now they're saying do pio.

Well I won't tell you not to worry because that's just what we do... However, you're still pregnant. Betas are weird - they don't double exactly all the time. Are you having another beta Friday??

This is exactly why I hate hpts and also betas b/c they don't tell us a lot...the main thing that I think you have to hold onto is that the number almost doubled...and I wouldn't worry about the hcg shot if I were you...if we were to do beta tests every 48 hours I think we would see a varying difference in their doubling time.

Your number is going up and I'm glad to hear that they suggested you continue with your PIO as well. You are pregnant, now you just need to breathe and relax and trust..and send your baby lovely energy that all is well.

Sending calming vibes your way...and lots of positive white light to your little one.

Blessings from Hope

I agree with Hope, but I'd push for another beta Friday. You'll go crazy all weekend, though the u/s is what will tell you what's going on? I wonder how much the hcg messes with your beta. BTW, isn't the u/s scheduled awfully early? They don't usually see anything until 6 wks.
